My goal is to capture the essence of the childhood imagination and the beauty behind it. Throughout time innocence has become shorter lived. In a world of technology and fast pace life, children are almost forced to grow up faster. If you were to ask a three year old today what they want to be when they grow up, their answer would be their favorite Hero or Heroine. Taking this concept into art, I have found a way to capture the imagination while bringing it to life.
Finding joy in working with children, I photograph kids being kids. Using very little direction, they are in control of the shoot. Whether we are in the studio or outside, the magic begins with them and ends with me. Witnessing a child’s imagination at work is a beautiful and uplifting experience not only for myself, but for the families I photograph.
The Tiny Footprints Project is a group of photographers who are matched with local families to offer their services free of charge to parents of premature babies living in the NICU. The photographers capture the newborns earliest moments and are a part of the families precious beginnings.
