Bunker Hill, Indiana | Event Photographer | Bunker Hill Baseball Parade
With no help from this year’s weather, Bunker Hill Baseball Season has come to a close. due to delayed or rescheduled games, some families with multiple players this year almost lived at the fields. Mother Nature was not much of our friend. When I mention to friends that last year was excruciatingly hot and humid, the only thing they can say is, “welcome to Indiana, you don’t like the weather? Wait ten minutes.” I think that sums it up!
Last week there was a fairly high chance of thunderstorms so they had postponed our parade day to the next weekend. While the normal turn out wasn’t as much as last year, I think it went off without a hitch. With the help of some local farmers, the Pipe Creek fire and Miami county Sheriff’s departments they lead the way for our team floats!
It isn’t a Bunker Hill Parade without our very own Maconaquah Marching band and Guard. They never disappoint and I can’t wait to see them more in the next school year!
One of my favorite creative floats was the Minor League’s Astro team. Coaches were dressed up in coconuts and hula skirts. While the players enjoyed throwing candy to the onlookers.
Today was a day to celebrate. The work these kids put into getting better at this sport always amazes me. I think the most enjoyable part about being involved in a little league is watching the progress they make by the end of each season. Watching these kids hit the ball for the first time makes me burst with joy as you can see the pride on their faces.
Thank you for a wonderful Season Bunker Hill, I can’t wait for next year!
